Sometimes, especially browsing through DA and seeing people's writings I realize why I am an atheist.

Now of course, not all Christians are this way so I'm definitely not trying to generalize that, but the issue is the worst ones are the loudest and most obnoxious. I was just reading someone's rant about how homosexuality is wrong, and how God says it is wrong and thus people should try and 'change' themselves.

I just go, what the fuck? You don't CHOOSE to be gay, and my response to that is something that was said in Queer as folk "If God created all of us to be in his own image, then you are just as you were meant to be" At least it was close. It disgusts me, some of my most wonderful friends are gay and just...what the fuck is the problem with them being happy, and loving someone?

I don't know, I just don't think if your kid is gay that you should EVER try and change them. They won't be happy, they'll never be happy.

Grrrrr. I wish I never stumbled across this crap, that kind of opinion should be kept to oneself since its fucking hurtful to people.
